PAINTING THE HUMANE FIGURE

How not to be attracted by the loneliness of this woman or the gaze seems absent, so strange at the same time ... The painting by Mark Tennant shows his investment in the question of women in the 21st century. The suffering of this woman is unbearable! In this painting, the scene of a bloody body, brings us back to a theme that is universal, today and tomorrow !!!

The artist Mark Tennant takes up the subject head on, this subject is inscribed in our history, the history of painting as an instrument of engagement for the artist ...

The pictorial touch of Mark Tennant has become, an ultra fast touch, where one feels the state of emergency, to translate the most real emotion of the subject. It shows the human body in a phase of exhaustion, between two forms of life ... And Mark Tennant calmly insists, year after year, driving in the nail without dismounting.

He devotes himself to the essential, oil painting in all its vitality, by the combination of its thousand textures, rough or unctuous, shiny or matte. Its subject the body, often the female body, it translates and represents a new reality through the mirror of our time, mirror of our reality. Mark Tennant is also a painter of hypotheses, he is not sure, but here he gives us a proposal so that we have, that it is for us to find a solution, and this solution is of a contemporaneity essential pictorial.

Mark Tennant is an accomplished artist who invites us to follow these looks and the power of his painting is an accomplice of our reality. Case to follow… !!!
